Engineering Innovation Proposal Self-Reflection

The Technical Innovation project has been very beneficial to my self because of the different types of elements that we had to include. These elements were taught to us throughout the entirety of the course. Specifically, what we had to include in our project was the research aspect, the ability to cite sources with correct format, the technical description of the innovation, detailed description of the process of the innovation. Even though everyone did their own part in this project, everyone learned about each part and basic skills like researching, because everyone must have background knowledge on the subject.

When writing the introduction I had to take a step back and realize that I’m writing for a specific audience and that because of the that I will have to be descriptive. So what I did was when mentioning things, like Bluetooth, I had to describe what it is and how it works, I gave examples of how people use it in their everyday life. Something else that was beneficial to us aspiring engineers is that is learning how to write a technical description of the product or in this case the innovation we made. The reason this is so valuable is because in the future we will have to write real ones and practicing from now will only make us better at it. Another benefit that I got from this project was that I learned the in depth details of how the current wireless charging pad works.

Overall I enjoyed doing this project with my group members because we all benefitted from it and learned many things that I didn’t think we would learn.
